"I've tried everything. Endure, Pyranha, the natural ones, you name it. I was literally spraying my horse while the flies were still on him. Started using NRTURE two weeks ago and honestly I just stood there watching him — tail quiet, no stomping, nothing. I told every single person at my barn."

— Sarah M., horse owner of 14 years

What is it made of?

Equinure uses four plant-derived essential oils: citronella, peppermint, tea tree, and lavender. The formula is water-based with a natural emulsifier so it sprays evenly and stays on the coat without synthetic insecticides or artificial fragrance.

How do I use it?

Spray once each morning before turnout. If insects are heavy or the weather is especially humid, apply a second light coat later in the day and gently brush it into the hair.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, it is designed to be gentle enough for horses and ponies with sensitive skin. If your horse is new to botanical sprays, we recommend testing a small area first.

How long does one bottle last?

The 200 ml bottle typically lasts about 30 to 45 days for one horse, depending on size, coat coverage, and insect pressure. Heavy fly season may use product faster.

Frequently Asked Questions

❓How is this different from fly spray?

Most fly sprays sit on top of the coat and fade quickly. Equinure™ is designed as a gentle botanical spray that can be brushed through the coat for more even coverage - helping protect the areas where flies, mosquitoes, and biting insects usually land.

❓ How long does it actually last?

It depends on the weather, sweat, grooming, and how heavy the insects are that day. Most horse owners reapply before turnout, riding, or whenever insects become active again. For best results, reapply after rain, heavy sweating, bathing, or brushing.

❓ Is it safe around my horse's face and ears?

Yes, but don’t spray directly into the eyes, nostrils, or mouth. For sensitive areas like the face and ears, spray Equinure™ onto a soft cloth or brush first, then gently apply it by hand. That gives you better control and keeps the experience calm for your horse.

❓My horse hates being sprayed. Will he tolerate this?

Many horses prefer a brush-on routine because it feels more like grooming than spraying. If your horse is sensitive, start by spraying Equinure™ onto a brush or cloth first, then apply it slowly along the coat. The light botanical scent also feels much different from harsh chemical-style sprays.

❓ I’ve tried botanical products before. Why is this different?

Equinure™ combines citronella, peppermint, tea tree, and lavender oils in an easy daily-use spray. The difference is in the routine: spray, brush through the coat, and focus on the areas insects target most - mane, neck, belly, legs, and around the tail.

Make Your Horse Invisible

Biting insects don't find your horse by chance.

They track her by smell — a scent plume she broadcasts through her skin from up to five miles away.

The four plant oils in Divolli bind to the receptors mosquitoes use to read that signal and shut them down. The plume keeps broadcasting.

The insects can't pick it up. Your horse becomes, in the most literal biological sense, invisible to them.

His mane is growing back for the first time in five years

Four summers I watched my gelding rub himself bloody. Four summers I stood at the paddock fence apologizing to him. I tried every spray on the shelf. I started Divolli in May. By July his mane was growing back for the first time since he was five. I cried the first morning I saw it.

I'm hacking my mare out again for the first time in 3 years

I'd stopped riding her completely. She would bronc every time a horsefly came near us — bucking, bolting, totally unrideable from May to October. Last Saturday we went two hours on the back trail. She walked through a swarm of deerflies and barely flicked her ears. I have my horse back.

My vet asked me what I had changed

He's been managing her insect bite hypersensitivity for six years. Last appointment he stopped mid-exam and said he couldn't believe it was the same pony. Coat clean, ears healed, no welts on her belly. I told him about the formula. He wrote it down. Honestly? Neither of us could believe it either.

Sleeping in until 6 AM for the first time in nine summers

My alarm was set for 4:35 every morning of fly season. I'd be out at the paddock with a headlamp before the midges started flying. After two weeks on Divolli I realized I hadn't been out before sunrise in nine days. He was standing calm at the gate at 7. No fresh welts. No rubbing.

Took my granddaughter on her first trail ride

She's been asking for two summers and I kept telling her grandma's horse couldn't handle the bugs. Last weekend I sprayed him down once before turnout, tacked him up at three, and we walked the back loop together. She rode in front of me on the saddle pad. He didn't flick a single ear the whole hour.

I added up what I used to spend — over $2,300 a year

Pyranha. Endure. Tri-Tec. Ultrashield. The fancy Swiss spray. Zyrtec in bulk. A $380 Rambo I rubbed through by August. I tracked it last year. Twenty-three hundred dollars on one mare and she still got eaten alive. This year I'm at $341 total. Her belly is clean.
